Mentoring for Teachers
Working collaboratively to integrate science, innovation & enjoyment into your classes
WHAT DO WE DO IN THE SESSIONS?
We focus on addressing topics related to your teaching practice through science-based and innovative approaches, and do anything from analysing needs and problem-solving to designing classes with specific training outcomes. Sessions can be in relation to almost any aspect of your ballet practice and to which my background as a dance scientist, teacher, and mentor, as well as our collaborative work can be of help to enhance your skills. Read more about what we do in the sessions.
WHO IS THIS MENTORING FOR?
Ballet teachers of any background! Whether you are an aspiring or an experienced teacher these sessions are for you. Since we work collaboratively to address the issues or topics of your interest, it is our backgrounds combined that will allow for critical thinking and problem solving to work on aspects of your current practice.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Send an email to ana.ramos.ballet@outlook.com or fill the contact form specifying your location in the world (to arrange for adequate time slots) and a brief description of what you are looking for (examples here), I will reply with a description of how we can work on it and a link for slot booking.

More about the mentoring sessions
Sessions are completely guided by your interests and integrate a lot of self-assessment guided by questions so that we can identify your need and elaborate an effective plan.
Some examples of things that I have worked with teachers are:
-
Going over an exercise / RAD grade / step / variation and designing ways to teach something that you or your students may find challenging
-
How to improve students' recall of exercises / balance / jumps
-
Coaching to prepare for a ballet teacher certification
-
Adding innovative and fun exercises for adult classes
-
Designing classes for teens who do another genre of dance but need ballet to complement their technique
Outcomes of the sessions are specific and tailored to your practice! Such as clearly outlined exercises thought out for your students and adequate to your time with them (no ideal training plans that most likely will not happen).
